About Podcasts
A little bit about Podcasts

Podcasts are recorded programmes that you can download, store on your computer's hard drive or transfer to a portable mp3 player to listen to anywhere you go, even when you are no longer connected to the internet.  Using iTunes you can subscribe to a podcast, and let your computer automatically download new episodes as they become available on-line.  (PC users can download iTunes for free or use a RSS client to subscribe to a podcast feed).

How to listen to Spectrum Radio's Podcasts

There are three main ways to listen to our podcasts. All the links to our Podcasts are available from our Podcasts page.
  1. If you're using a Mac, or if you have a PC with iTunes installed, you can click on the "Subscribe in iTunes" link under the programme name.  iTunes will automatically download new episodes of your chosen podcast when they are published and make them available to you.   Or, you can subscribe to the Podcast's RSS Feed using a RSS client.
  2. You can save one particular episode of a podcast to your computer's hard drive:   On a PC, right click on an episode date and select "Save Target/Link As.."  On a Mac, use ctrl+Click on an episode date and select "Download Linked File" or "Save File As".   You can then listen to the file on your computer or transfer it to your portable mp3 player.  See your device's instruction manual to find out how to transfer files from your computer to your player.
  3. To start listening to a podcast episode straight away, click on the "Play" button to the right of the episode link.
